This is considered the first 997 to be officially imported to Vietnam in 2007 and after 18 years it has remained in its original state, only after one owner's life.
According to research, the new owner has spent more than a year searching for the right model of car he wanted. Previously, he approached another 997 in Ho Chi Minh City last year but the transaction was unsuccessful. When he learned about the original white 997.1, which had never been repainted and still had a 4-digit license plate, he decided to buy it.
The story quickly attracted attention in the Porsche enthusiast community in Vietnam. In the context that young players often choose new generations such as 992 or 991, the appearance of an original 997, in very small quantity on the market, became a notable highlight.
The Porsche 911 generation 997 was produced from 2004-2012, succeeding the 996 series. The design of the 997 has many lines reminiscent of the Porsche 993 with a typical round headlight cluster returning after a long time of using the droplet model. Although it only shares less than 30% of the components with the 996, this model still retains a similar technical foundation but has significantly improved performance and aerodynamics, with a drag coefficient of 0.28.
The Porsche 911 Carrera 997 version uses a 3.6L, rear-wheel drive, 3.6L flat-chassis engine with 321 horsepower. The acceleration, stability and driving feel of the 997 are highly appreciated by the global Porsche player community, contributing to maintaining the attraction of this model in the used sports car market.
