More than 15,000 Hyundai cars produced in Vietnam will be exported in 2026

After some of the first markets in Asia, Hyundai cars "made in Vietnam" have just officially expanded their playing field when they set off for export to Mexico and Australia.

Expanding exports to Mexico, Australia and Taiwan in 2026, bringing Hyundai Thanh Cong's products from Asia to 3 continents - Asia, America and Oceania. This is the result of nearly 20 years of investment, building production capacity, technology and human resources in Vietnam.

According to Hyundai Thanh Cong, export activities are being prepared and implemented according to a long-term roadmap.

From 2018 to 2023, the enterprise exported cars to Korea, Peru and the Philippines, taking the first steps on the journey to bring products manufactured in Vietnam to the international market.

In 2024, Hyundai Thanh Cong exported 458 Hyundai Palisade cars to Thailand, including components and finished cars. In 2025, export activities continued to expand to Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar and Kazakhstan, with 1,536 sets of components and 761 finished cars.

2026 marks a new development step when Hyundai Thanh Cong expands exports to markets, including major markets such as Mexico, Australia and Taiwan. Total export output is expected to reach 15,280 units, many times higher than in 2024, including 5,120 components and 10,160 finished vehicles.

From the first markets in Asia, products manufactured at Hyundai Thanh Cong factory have gradually reached America and Oceania, expanding the scope of car production activities in Vietnam on the international map.

On a platform built over nearly 20 years, Hyundai Thanh Cong identifies exports as one of the long-term development orientations of the production system in Vietnam.

In the period 2027–2029, the enterprise is expected to continue to expand markets to the Middle East, Africa, Central America, South America and Russia, with a total expected output of about 187,000 export units. From 2030, Hyundai Thanh Cong aims to become a global export center, with a target output of over 60,000 units per year.

This orientation is a shift from production capacity mainly serving the domestic market to building global-scale production and export capacity, gradually bringing products, components and industrial capacity formed in Vietnam to participate more deeply in the international automobile value chain.

From Vietnam, Hyundai products are gradually present in many markets around the world. This is the result of a long-term investment process, the companionship of Hyundai Motor, the support of management agencies, localities and the efforts of the entire Hyundai Thanh Cong team; and at the same time is a foundation for businesses to continue to improve production capacity, expand markets and contribute more and more deeply to the global automotive value chain.
