Lamborghini Gallardo SE was launched in the context that the concept of "limited edition" is still quite new to the domestic supercar market. The fact that a model produced by only 250 units worldwide appeared in Vietnam once attracted great attention from the media and the supercar-loving community more than a decade ago.
After nearly 18 years of presence in Vietnam, this Gallardo SE no longer retains its original identification configuration. According to records, the supercar model has been upgraded in appearance to the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera style - a high-performance version of the Gallardo line. Although the LP570-4 Superleggera is highly appreciated for its performance and optimal weight, in terms of rarity, this version does not have the same collection value as the limited edition Gallardo SE.
The upgrade process includes changing the body kit, repainting the exterior from the original yellow to white, and refreshing the interior. The car is also equipped with zip-lock doors - a design that usually only appears on large mid-engine Lamborghini lines such as Murcielago or Aventador.
Originally, Gallardo and successor generations such as Huracan used traditional horizontal open doors. The addition of zippers helped the model become different from the standard configuration, and was once considered the first time a supercar in Vietnam applied this upgrade.
Technically, the original Lamborghini Gallardo SE uses a 5.0L V10 engine, producing a maximum power of 520 horsepower. The car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in about 3.8 seconds and reaching a maximum speed of approximately 315 km/h. These specifications once placed the Gallardo SE in the top high-performance supercar group in the launch phase, and also contributed to creating an impression for the model in Lamborghini's history in the Vietnamese market.
