Lexus Vietnam officially launched a recall program to update the control software of the parking support system on Lexus models in Vietnam. The program takes effect from December 30, 2025 at all Lexus and Toyota dealerships nationwide.
According to the announcement, a total of 2,774 vehicles of the LM, LS, ES, NX, RX, GX and LX lines are affected, with a production period from 2021 to 2025. Parking control software is a part of the panoramic viewing system (PVM), which helps display images of the rear of the vehicle. In some cases, the software can temporarily make the rear image stand still when reversing or not display when turning on the power lock for the next time, increasing the risk of collision.
The recall program includes testing and software updates for affected cars. The implementation time is about 0.8 - 1 hour for each car. Car owners can check the car's condition through the VIN number on the website of Lexus or Toyota, or contact dealers directly for confirmation.
Non-genuine imported cars subject to recall will be inspected and software updated if confirmed to belong to the program. The program is implemented to ensure operational safety for Lexus cars currently in use in Vietnam.
