On the evening of April 25, during a patrol, the Traffic Police team stopped to inspect a passenger car with license plate 76B-013. xx at the National Highway 28 intersection, Ham Thuan commune, Lam Dong province.
Through inspection and direct counting of passengers on the car, it was determined that the passenger car was carrying 38 people while this was a 26-seater car. Through working, the driver presented papers in the name of N.L (born 1990, residing in Quang Ngai province).
The Traffic Police Team made a record for the driver for the offense of driving a passenger car carrying more people than the permitted number of people of the vehicle, according to Clause 4, Article 20 of Decree 168/2024/ND-CP. According to regulations, for the above offense, the driver will be fined 18 million VND.
Highway Traffic Police Team No. 6 also made a record against the vehicle owner for allowing the worker to control the vehicle to commit the above-mentioned violation. According to current regulations, the vehicle owner will be fined 72 million VND.
The total amount of money that drivers and vehicle owners will be fined is 90 million VND.
At noon on the same day, also on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway, Traffic Police discovered and fined a passenger car with license plate 50H-355. xx carrying 47 people while this was a 34-seater car. The amount of money that the car owner and driver were fined was 97.5 million VND.
