On the afternoon of April 25, Highway Traffic Police Team No. 6 (Room 6, Traffic Police Department) temporarily closed the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway at km0, North - South direction to handle the scene of the traffic rescue vehicle accident.
According to initial information, a rescue vehicle carrying a truck on the floor, pulling a Kato crane behind, was traveling on the highway. When reaching km12+300, the section passing through Tan Lap commune (Lam Dong province), this vehicle encountered an accident.
At the scene, the front of the rescue vehicle was turning against traffic. The truck carrying on the floor was thrown to the side of the road and overturned. Behind, the Kato crane crashed into the guardrail, occupying half of the traffic road.
Immediately after receiving the news, Highway Traffic Patrol and Control Team No. 6 coordinated with the route management unit to be present, organize remote traffic diversion and regulate vehicles.
At Phan Thiet intersection, vehicles traveling in the North - South direction are guided to leave the expressway to move to National Highway 1, avoiding congestion.
Until 5:45 PM on the same day, functional forces were still handling the scene.
