This limited edition of Rolls Royce is derived from the Greek sculpture of the goddess of victory Samothrace. This is also the inspiration for the original Rolls Royce logo in 1910.
The exterior uses a two-tone white and blue color scheme inspired by the ocean surrounding the island of Samothrace. Rolls Royce craftsmen use metal flakes mixed with paint to create a sparkling effect on the car.
The interior compartment is also designed to recreate the elegant shape of the Spirit of Ecstasy. The doors and seats feature hand-embroidered motifs that run throughout the cabin, combining various colors and stitches to create a luminous effect.
According to information from the company, artisans crafted 36 embroidered parts that were stitched together and it took 2.5 years to make 633,000 stitches. Each piece of interior embroidery takes up to 40 hours. Blue-gray, white, dark blue, light blue and yellow threads are embroidered on the car's door, forming connected decorative details.
The Phantom Scintilla chair uses a woven fabric with a parallel twill pattern, combined with matching colored threads.
The standout element of the Phantom Scintilla's interior is the custom-designed artwork called Celestial Pulse on the dashboard. The piece is made from 7 solid aluminum strips with a ceramic finish.
These aluminum strips are hand-polished to create a reflective shine, creating a highlight for the vehicle. The ceiling is designed with 1,500 fiber optic bulbs with flow effects and 4,450 small holes to create lighting effects.
According to information from the company, the Phantom Scintilla is limited to 10 units worldwide and was sold out before its launch at the Monterey car week at an undisclosed price.
