The first batch of cars are all soft top versions (Soft Top). Meanwhile, the electric folding hardtop (RF) version is expected to be brought to Vietnam at the end of this year. According to some dealers, the RF version may be priced several hundred million VND higher than the softtop version.
Before being officially distributed, Mazda MX-5 used to appear in Vietnam mainly through private import units with both soft-top and hard-top RF versions. Official distribution is expected to help users access this model with synchronous configuration, equipment and warranty.
Mazda MX-5 belongs to the two-seater convertible sports car segment. The car has dimensions of 3,915 mm long, 1,735 mm wide, 1,240 mm high and a wheelbase of 2,310 mm. The model uses rear-wheel drive configuration, aiming for flexible operation and sporty driving feeling.
Providing power for the Mazda MX-5 is a 2.0L naturally aspirated gasoline engine, producing a maximum power of 181 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 205 Nm. The dual swingarm system on the front combined with a multi-link on the rear contributes to improving stability when operating.
In terms of equipment, Mazda MX-5 owns a LED lighting system, an 8.8-inch central entertainment screen supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The car is also equipped with many driver assistance features such as anti-lock braking (ABS), electronic balance (ESC), cruise control, blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning and front and rear braking assist.
