According to the list of police in some provinces just announced as of the end of May, many car owners were fined remotely for running red lights up to 20 million VND.

The Traffic Police Department, Ninh Binh Provincial Police said that from May 23 to May 31, through exploiting the surveillance camera system and using professional equipment, the traffic police force recorded many cases of red light violations as follows:

The Traffic Police Department, Cao Bang Provincial Police also said that from May 21 to May 27, through exploiting the surveillance camera system and using professional equipment, the traffic police force recorded many cases of red light violations as follows:

People should note that the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety, Decree 168/2024/ND-CP stipulating penalties for administrative violations of road traffic order and safety; deducting points, restoring points for driver's licenses takes effect from January 1, 2025.

Accordingly, some violations of road traffic safety and order have significantly increased fines compared to before, such as drivers of cars running red lights being fined 18-20 million VND.

In order to effectively implement the newly promulgated law, local traffic police forces are actively implementing many synchronous measures, with the motto of both focusing on propaganda and strict handling.

The police request the violator to come to the police headquarters where the traffic tickets were discovered or to come to the police station where they reside to resolve the violation case according to regulations.
