The car model appears with Ruby Star Neo dark pink paint, different from the neutral colors commonly seen on sports cars.
The Porsche 718 Spyder RS is developed based on the platform of the 718 Cayman GT4 RS and can be considered the convertible version of this model. Although it has a two-seater roadster style, the model aims for a pure driving experience and high performance, not for the majority of users.
In terms of operation, the Porsche 718 Spyder RS uses a naturally aspirated 6-cylinder boxer engine, 4.0L capacity - the type of engine currently equipped on the Porsche 911 GT3. This engine block is capable of reaching a maximum speed of up to 9,000 rpm, bringing a distinctive sound and emotional driving feeling of high-performance sports cars.
The engine on the Porsche 718 Spyder RS produces a maximum power of 493 horsepower and a maximum torque of 449 Nm, 79 horsepower stronger than the standard 718 Spyder version. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission. According to the manufacturer's announcement, this roadster model is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in about 3.2 seconds.
In terms of design, the front of the Porsche 718 Spyder RS has many similarities with the 718 Cayman GT4 RS. The hood is made of reinforced carbon fiber polymer (CFRP) material, integrating large vents to optimize cooling capacity. Two NACA air vents support cooling the braking system without increasing air resistance, while aerodynamic details in the front bumper contribute to increasing pressure on the road surface, improving stability when operating at high speeds.
