Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS upgraded 992 generation has just appeared in the Vietnamese market, adding a noteworthy option in the high-performance convertible sports car group of Porsche's product range.
Belonging to the mid-life upgrade version launched from 2025, the 911 Targa 4 GTS (992. 2) attracts attention with a completely new high-performance hybrid powertrain configuration. This is also one of the rare variants of the 911 line in Vietnam, especially in the characteristic Targa roof configuration.
In terms of design, the car possesses the characteristic style of the Targa line with a fabric roof that automatically opens/closes, combined with a rollover hoop protection bar behind the cockpit and surrounding rear window. This structure helps the model maintain a balance between the convertible experience and body stiffness when operating at high speeds. The exterior of the car uses dark tones combined with black painted dual multi-spoke rims and a central wheel lock - details that often appear on high-performance Porsche versions.
The most notable point on the 911 Targa 4 GTS 992.2 generation version lies in the completely new T-Hybrid powertrain. The car uses a 3,6L 6-cylinder boxer engine combined with an integrated electric motor in an 8-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox, helping to improve acceleration response and reduce turbo lag. Total system power reaches about 541 horsepower, allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in about 3.1 seconds.
In addition, full-time four-wheel drive is the standard equipment on the Targa 4 GTS variant, contributing to improving stability when operating at high speeds or in changing road surface conditions. The car is also equipped with a rear steering system, which helps improve flexibility when moving in urban areas and increase stability when cornering at high speeds.
Inside the cockpit, the upgraded version 992. 2 switches to using a completely digital instrument cluster, combined with a modern control interface according to Porsche's new direction on new generation sports cars. These changes contribute to improving the driving experience, while still retaining the typical driver-centered design philosophy of the 911 line.
