The newly launched Ferrari Roma Spider has a jade green exterior, combined with a black fabric roof. This is a grand touring convertible version with a front-mounted engine layout, rear-wheel drive and 2+2 seating configuration. The Roma Spider is developed based on the Ferrari Portofino platform, playing the role of successor to Portofino and positioned below the Ferrari F8 in the Italian automaker's sports car product line.
Ferrari Roma is named after the capital of Italy, to evoke the elegant lifestyle and the spirit of "la dolce vita". The coupe version of Roma was first launched online in November 2019, before being officially introduced in Rome. In 2023, Ferrari launched the Roma Spider convertible version, bringing a new choice to customers who love the open-top driving experience.
A notable highlight on the Ferrari Roma Spider is the 5-layer fabric roof, designed to minimize noise from the wind and road surface, while still ensuring aesthetics and light weight. The car is equipped with a wind direction panel placed between the two front seats, helping to improve aerodynamic efficiency and bring more comfort to the cabin when operating at high speeds.
The fabric roof has the ability to close or open in about 13.5 seconds, even when the car is moving at speeds below 50 km/h. Ferrari also offers many personalized options for the roof, including four standard colors and a special fabric with a unique weaving style and contrasting lines.
In terms of operation, the Ferrari Roma Spider uses a twin-turbo V8 engine, 3.9-liter capacity, producing a maximum power of 620 horsepower and a maximum torque of 760 Nm. Combined with an 8-speed F1 DCT dual-clutch gearbox and Variable Boost Management technology, this model has the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in about 3.4 seconds, meeting the sporty quality of the Ferrari brand.
