The Gumball 3000 supercar journey in 2024 takes place in Ho Chi Minh City, gathering hundreds of expensive supercars in the world.
Notable among these is the Koenigsegg Regera “Honey” which is fully equipped with the Swedish car company’s options such as aerodynamic package, exterior upgrades, carbon wheels. In particular, the owner also coated the exterior with diamonds and applied NFT scanning technology.
The Koenigsegg Regera “Honey” uses a very expensive bare carbon fiber body. Koenigsegg also covers the bare carbon with crushed, polished diamond powder, creating a very noble sparkling shine when exposed to sunlight, true to the name Regera “Honey”.
Powering the Koenigsegg Regera is a 5.0L twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 1,100 horsepower. Combined with 3 electric motors, the total output of the car is 1,500 horsepower. Thanks to that, the car can accelerate to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, with a maximum speed of up to 400 km/h.
The Koenigsegg Regera is a car that does not use a traditional gearbox. The gear shifting mechanism on the car is based on a direct transmission structure called Direct Drive, which reduces 50% of energy loss compared to conventional gearboxes.
Today (September 15), the Gumball 3000 supercar journey will officially begin. The supercar convoy will travel through Cambodia, Thailand and Malaysia before ending in Singapore on September 21.
