86 more vehicles were fined in Thai Binh

Thai Binh - Last week, Thai Binh Province Traffic Police recorded 86 cases of vehicles being fined for traffic violations.

Thai Binh Provincial Police have just publicly announced a list of 86 vehicles that violated the Road Traffic Law and were fined in the week from November 20 to November 26.

Through patrols and inspections by the Traffic Police and Provincial Police, 66 vehicles were recorded for speeding violations, including:

Fine for running red light for cars:

According to Point a, Clause 5, Article 5 of Decree No. 100/2019/ND-CP (amended and supplemented by Decree 123/2021/ND-CP), car drivers who run red lights will be administratively fined from 4,000,000 - 6,000,000 VND.

In addition to the fine, the driver who commits the violation shall also be subject to an additional penalty of having his/her driving license revoked for 1-3 months (Point b, Clause 11, Article 5). In case of failure to comply with traffic signals and causing an accident, the driving license shall be revoked for 2-4 months.

Fines for speeding cars:

Fine from 800,000 VND to 1,000,000 VND for drivers exceeding the prescribed speed from 05km/h to under 10km/h (Point a, Clause 3, Article 5, Decree 100/2019/ND-CP).

Fine from VND 4,000,000 to VND 6,000,000 for drivers exceeding the prescribed speed limit from 10km/h to 20km/h (Point i, Clause 5, Article 5, Decree 100/2019/ND-CP amended at Point d, Clause 34, Article 2, Decree 123/2021/ND-CP).

In addition, the driver who commits the violation will also have his/her driving license revoked for 01 to 03 months (Point b Clause 11 Article 5 Decree 100/2019/ND-CP).

Fine from 6,000,000 VND to 8,000,000 VND for drivers exceeding the prescribed speed by more than 20km/h to 35km/h (Point a, Clause 6, Article 5, Decree 100/2019/ND-CP).

Drivers who commit violations will also have their driving licenses revoked for 2 to 4 months (Point c, Clause 11, Article 5, Decree 100/2019/ND-CP).

Fine from 10,000,000 VND to 12,000,000 VND for drivers driving at a speed exceeding the prescribed speed limit by more than 35km/h (Point c, Clause 7, Article 5, Decree 100/2019/ND-CP).

Drivers who commit violations will also have their driving licenses revoked for 2 to 4 months (Point c, Clause 11, Article 5, Decree 100/2019/ND-CP).

People should note that when coming to pay the fine, for cars, people need to prepare the following documents: Vehicle registration, certificate of technical safety and environmental protection inspection, driver's license of the violator, citizen identification card of the violator (1 photocopy of each type of document).
