However, according to Mr. Tran Huy (Cau Giay, Hanoi) - a license plate auction participant from the early days - shared: "I think that it is difficult to cancel the deposit, because if the participant cancels the deposit, they will lose 40 million VND in fees, equivalent to nearly half of the value of the 30M-049.53 license plate that was auctioned. Therefore, canceling the deposit usually only happens with high-value license plates."
Regarding the reason why many people bid for the license plate 30M-049.53, Mr. Huy said that currently, many license plate collectors tend to collect special license plates, including the numbers 49 and 53. License plates with these two numbers next to each other are even more valuable to collect. Furthermore, the license plate 30M-049.53 has a 0 in front of the numbers 49 and 53, so it can be considered to not be entangled in bad luck, so paying 85 million for this license plate is not too difficult to understand.
