Information from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of the Ministry of Public Security, in the period from 7:30 am on August 5 to 7:30 am on August 6, the AI camera system on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway and at intersections in Hanoi continued to be effective in monitoring and detecting violations.
At the Km20 camera on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway, the system recorded 10,209 vehicle trips. Artificial intelligence (AI) warned 3 cases with signs of violation, through inspection, 2 actual violations were identified, both were car drivers not fastening seat belts when participating in traffic.
During this time, the average traffic speed of vehicles on the route reached 62km/h; the highest speed recorded was 121km/h and the lowest was 49km/h.
In Hanoi, the AI camera system continues to detect many cases with signs of violations at key intersections.
Accordingly, at the Pham Van Bach - Hoang Quan Chi intersection, the system recorded 73 cases of motorcyclists not wearing helmets, 52 cases of not complying with traffic lights and 1 case of going against traffic.
At the Le Van Luong - Nguyen Tuan intersection, AI warned 37 cases showing signs of going in the wrong lane. However, after functional forces inspected, no actual violations were detected.
Along with the automatic monitoring system, the channels for receiving feedback from the Traffic Police Department continue to receive active coordination from the people.
Accordingly, during the above period, the Traffic Police Department received a total of 116 reports. In which, the Facebook fanpage of the Department received 23 reports and transferred for full verification; monitoring activities on cyberspace (Facebook, TikTok...) detected and transferred for verification 3 reports.
The Zalo channel of the Director of the Traffic Police Department received 23 messages, of which 7 messages were transferred for verification, and 16 messages were not sufficiently processed. The VNeTraffic application received and transferred verification of 70 feedback messages to traffic police departments in localities.
According to the Traffic Police Department, the most reported acts by people include: going into the emergency car stop lane on the expressway; stopping and parking vehicles improperly; changing lanes without prior warning; driving in the wrong lane; not complying with traffic lights; going against traffic; not complying with road markings; overtaking vehicles improperly; motorcyclists not wearing helmets; swerving, zigzagging, entering prohibited roads and many other violations.
To date, the VNeTraffic application continues to be widely used by people with 9,929,484 registered accounts. Of these, 9,274,613 accounts have been electronically identified as level 2.
