On the afternoon of September 8, the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police (PC08) said that the An Suong Traffic Police Team had issued a fine for the driver who drove a vehicle in the wrong lane, causing traffic insecurity spread on social networks.
Earlier, on the same morning, a clip was circulated on social networking sites recording the image of a car with license plate 51L-177.xx traveling on the car lane on the Le Quang Dao route from An Ha bridge to An Suong roundabout, changing lanes without a warning signal, almost colliding with a car traveling behind.
As soon as the information was received, the An Suong Traffic Police Team conducted verification and requested the driver of the car to come to the headquarters for questioning.
Through investigation, the traffic police identified the driver as Mr. N.H.P (born in 1998, residing in Ba Diem commune, Ho Chi Minh City).
Mr. P said that while driving on Le Quang Dao Street, due to urgent matters, he repeatedly asked to overtake the car in the clip but could not do so. Coming to the section in front of house number 64/12 Le Quang Dao, Xuan Thoi Son commune, Mr. P accelerated to cross and changed lanes without a warning signal to " face off" the car that he had repeatedly asked to cross.
Mr. P also admitted that while driving, he did not wear a seat belt as prescribed.
Based on the violation, the An Suong Traffic Police Team has drawn up an administrative violation record against Mr. N.H.P for driving a car: Changing lanes without warning signals and not wearing a seat belt when driving a vehicle.
Through the above incident, PC08 Department recommends that people when participating in traffic must strictly comply with the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety.
