Prof. Dr. Le Van Loi becomes President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences

Prof. Dr. Le Van Loi - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics - was appointed to hold the position of President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences.

On September 8, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences held a conference to announce the Prime Minister's Decision on personnel work.

Attending the conference were Associate Professor, Dr. Doan Minh Huan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; Professor, Dr. Ta Ngoc Tan - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council; Dr. Phan Chi Hieu - Deputy Minister of Justice, along with representatives of leaders of central departments, ministries, branches and leaders, former leaders of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences and a large number of cadres and civil servants of the Academy.

At the Conference, delegates heard the announcement of Decision No. 1880/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, accepting and appointing Mr. Le Van Loi - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics - to hold the position of President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences.

According to VNA, in his acceptance speech, Prof. Dr. Le Van Loi expressed his great honor to be trusted by the Party and State to assign such a responsibility, and at the same time, he was deeply aware of his responsibility towards the collective of cadres, civil servants and employees of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences.

According to Prof. Dr. Le Van Loi, the tradition of more than 70 years of building and developing of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences is a solid foundation for all cadres to continue with new aspirations, contributing more and more to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

Pointing out the key tasks in the coming time, Prof. Dr. Le Van Loi emphasized the need to continue perfecting institutions, regulations and internal legal corridors, creating unity in organization and operation. Along with that, it is important to focus on training, fostering and developing high-quality human resources, meeting the requirements of in-depth research by industry and interdisciplinary. At the same time, promote the implementation of major scientific tasks, including research on digital transformation, digital socialism, culture, historical education and emerging development issues.

Prof. Dr. Le Van Loi affirmed that he will work with the leadership and all cadres and civil servants of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences to maximize their intelligence, courage and sense of responsibility to make the Institute strongly rise, making worthy contributions to the development of the country.

Prof. Dr. Le Van Loi, born in 1974; hometown Nghe An province, trained and researched in the field of philosophy. He has worked for more than 30 years at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, and was a lecturer in the department of science on religion and beliefs; held the positions of: Deputy Director of the Department of Organization - Personnel; Deputy Director in charge of the Department of Science Management; Director of the Department of Science Management, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.

In February 2020, Prof. Dr. Le Van Loi was appointed by the Secretariat to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; on September 3, 2025, according to the Decision of the Prime Minister, Prof. Dr. Le Van Loi was appointed to hold the position of President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences.
