On April 28, the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of Lam Dong Provincial Police said that the unit had made a record and fined a sleeper bus driver for overtaking vehicles in violation of regulations, causing traffic unsafety.
Previously, on April 27, a resident was driving a car carrying his family on the Ho Chi Minh road in the direction of Dak Lak - Lam Dong.
When reaching Km1874+700 (section passing through Duc An commune, Lam Dong province), suddenly a passenger car running in the opposite direction overtook another vehicle and rushed straight towards the car.
Encountering a dangerous situation, the car driver had to brake suddenly, steering close to the right side to avoid collision. However, at this time, another car was parked on the side of the road, causing panic among the people in the car.
Immediately after that, the incident was reported by people to the traffic police force, along with a video recording the developments.
Upon receiving the information, Road Traffic Police Team No. 6 intervened to verify and invited driver Nguyen Truong Sinh (40 years old, residing in Dak Lak) to work.
Through this, it was determined that the violating vehicle was a passenger car with license plate 47H-112.67 of Tuan Anh bus company, running the Dak Lak - Ho Chi Minh City route.
Working with the police agency, driver Sinh admitted to driving the passenger car recklessly.
Based on regulations, functional forces have made a record of administrative violation against the driver for the offense of "Conducting vehicle overtaking in cases where overtaking is not allowed" according to point a, clause 5, Article 6, Decree 168/2024/ND-CP. For this offense, the driver was fined 5 million VND and deducted 2 points from the driver's license.
