According to the Ministry of Health, after deploying measles vaccination against measles, compared to the first 3 months of 2025, the measles incidence began to decrease (6%) in the group from 1 year to 10 years old (accounting for 61.4%); A slight decrease (0.4%) in groups under 1 year of age (accounting for 2.7%, including groups of children under 6 months of age without indicating measles vaccine), but increased by 6.4%in groups over 10 years old (accounting for 35.9%, of which the group from 11-15 years old accounted for 19.2%and the group over 16 years old accounted for 16.7%).
To continue implementing the organization of measles vaccination campaigns for subjects and quickly controlling the epidemic, based on the proposal for vaccine needs and the scope of measles vaccination campaigns of provinces and cities, the Ministry of Health has urgently developed and issued Decision No. 1340/QD-BYT dated April 21, 2025 on the plan to implement the third phase of measles vaccination campaign in 2025.
The vaccine used in this vaccination campaign is 500,000 doses of measles-containing vaccine sponsored by FPT Group, expected with the first vaccine allocation to be completed before April 30, 2025 and the second before May 15, 2025. The Ministry of Health will immediately distribute vaccines to localities to promptly deploy the vaccination campaign.
On the morning of April 22, the Ministry of Health received 500,000 doses of measles vaccine sponsored by the FPT Long Chau pharmacy and vaccination center system.

At the reception ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Lien Huong, Deputy Minister of Health, said: The goal of the Plan to implement the 2025 measles vaccination campaign in the third phase is that 95% of children who have not been vaccinated or have not been vaccinated with enough doses of measles-containing vaccine will be vaccinated with 1 dose of measles-containing vaccine.
The target groups of the plan are: children aged 06 months who have not yet reached the vaccination schedule for the vaccination campaign for the first and second rounds in 2025 and children aged 6 months to under 09 months who have not been vaccinated for the vaccination campaign for the first and second rounds in 2025 in areas at risk and areas where measles/measles cases are occurring; Children aged 11 to 15 in communes/wards at high/very high risk who have not been vaccinated/not fully vaccinated with measles-containing doses and children with unknown vaccination history and unknown history of measles.
