On the afternoon of January 14, the Ministry of Health coordinated with Da Nang City People's Committee to organize a conference to transfer Quang Nam Central General Hospital to Da Nang City People's Committee for management.
At the conference, representatives of the Ministry of Health announced the Prime Minister's decision on the transfer of the hospital to its original state. The handover content includes the entire organizational structure, personnel, finance, assets, facilities, equipment, land and professional tasks being implemented. The transfer process is carried out publicly, transparently, in accordance with legal regulations and does not disrupt medical examination and treatment work.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi emphasized that the hospital reception is in line with the central government's policy of streamlining the apparatus, and at the same time associated with the orientation of developing Da Nang into a specialized medical center of the region: "Quang Nam Central General Hospital will be an important link in the health network, contributing to reducing the load on the upper level and improving the treatment capacity of complex cases.
City leaders committed to continue investing, creating favorable conditions for the hospital to develop sustainably; assigning the Department of Health to urgently complete procedures after handover, and at the same time supporting the hospital to develop professional planning suitable to the role of a regional health center.

On the side of the Ministry of Health, Deputy Minister Do Xuan Tuyen requested the hospital's leadership to do a good job of ideological work for the team of doctors and nurses in the transition period; closely coordinate with departments and branches of Da Nang to ensure full health insurance benefits for people, absolutely not to interrupt medical examination and treatment activities.
