On June 26, the Da Nang City Department of Health organized a Conference to transfer the tasks of prevention, population and operation of 93 commune and ward health stations under regional health centers to the People's Committees of communes and wards for management.
Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi said: "This is not simply a mechanical transfer in terms of organization, but a drastic political action to concretize the Politburo's policy on strengthening the protection, care and improvement of people's health. We realize a new management model, linking the responsibility of protecting people's health with the management and direct responsibility of the grassroots government".
The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee also requested localities to quickly receive and operate effectively and emphasized: "From now on, there will be no vague areas of responsibility, discipline and actual efficiency must be put first.

Ms. Tran Thanh Thuy, Director of Da Nang City Department of Health, highly appreciated the contribution of the team of grassroots health officials, and at the same time recognized the transfer as a major turning point.
Ms. Tran Thanh Thuy affirmed: "This is an important milestone, marking a shift in the organizational structure and state management method for grassroots healthcare towards being close to the people, in line with the two-level government model.

To ensure that people's health care work is not affected after the transfer, the city's health sector is committed to continuing to provide maximum support to localities in terms of expertise.
Director of the Department of Health Tran Thanh Thuy committed: "The Department of Health will accompany the People's Committees of communes and wards throughout the implementation process, coordinate with departments and branches to handle arising issues, especially regarding health insurance payments and the supply of medicines and medical supplies".
According to the roadmap, commune and ward health stations in Da Nang will officially operate under the management of the commune-level People's Committee from July 1.
