As a direct participant in the kidney transplant team of two consecutive successful cases announced by Can Tho General Hospital on August 26, specialist doctor II Truong Minh Khoa - Deputy Head of the Department of Nephrology - Urology - said that through each surgery, the medical team has learned and gained more experience. The doctor assessed that the two recent cases were very difficult, from vascular malformations, aneurysm treatment, double ureters,...
"When we saw the patient's urine flowing out on the operating table, we were very happy. Next, the patient recovered day by day, walking, eating, and living almost normally. It can be said that to successfully perform this surgery, there was the cooperation of no less than 50 doctors.
In the near future, we will be given an overall assessment of the technical transfer from Cho Ray Hospital before performing it independently. However, as a kidney transplant recipient and a doctor, we are confident in performing it and bringing a new life to patients in the West," Dr. Khoa said excitedly.
