On January 30, Da Nang Hospital coordinated with Mayo Clinic (USA) to organize the 2026 International Scientific Conference. With the orientation of expanding the academic space to regional and international levels, this year's conference has become a meeting point for modern medical knowledge.
The event attracted about 2,000 delegates who are doctors, nurses, and medical staff from hospitals, research institutes and universities across the country. In particular, the conference was attended by more than 100 international speakers from advanced medicines such as Japan, Singapore, Thailand, China, England, Switzerland, Germany... Among them, the delegation from Mayo Clinic (USA) contributed more than 70 leading experts.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Le Duc Nhan - Director of Da Nang Hospital emphasized: "The conference is a forum for scientists and experts to exchange expertise, share practical experiences and update the latest advances. We want to strengthen connections and promote professional cooperation to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, towards the goal of comprehensive health care for people.
Highly appreciating the efforts of the organizing unit, Prof. Dr. Tran Van Thuan, Deputy Minister of Health affirmed that in the context of rapidly developing medicine, updating knowledge and applying new technologies is an urgent requirement. Da Nang Hospital, with its role as a first-class hospital at the final level in the Central - Central Highlands region, has been and is affirming its solid position through mastering difficult techniques and strong international integration.

At the ceremony, leaders of Da Nang City People's Committee said that the city always identifies healthcare as one of the most important pillars of social security policy. Organizing large-scale international conferences not only improves the capacity of local doctors and medical staff but is also an opportunity for Da Nang healthcare to approach international standards.
We believe that, with the spirit of cooperation and receptiveness, the conference will bring many practical results, making an important contribution to the work of protecting, caring for and improving people's health," Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi - Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Committee - shared.
