On April 21, the Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Civil, Industrial and Technical Infrastructure Works of Da Nang organized the handover and commissioning of the high-tech treatment area item under Quang Nam General Hospital.
The project has a total investment of nearly 180 billion VND from the state budget, built with a scale of 7 floors and 1 attic floor, construction area of 2,209m2, total floor area of more than 14,175m2.

The highlight of this treatment area is the synchronous and modern technical infrastructure and equipment such as central medical gas, operating room sterilization, nurse calls, test sample transmission, along with electrical, water, air conditioning, lightning protection systems... This is considered an important step upgrading the hospital's specialized treatment capacity.
According to Mr. Nguyen Huu Nhat - Director of the Project Management Board for Investment in Construction of Civil, Industrial and Technical Infrastructure Works of Da Nang, the project is being implemented in a context of many difficulties due to the impact of epidemics, fluctuations in construction material prices and complex construction conditions.

However, the completion and handover of the project is of great social and people's significance. When put into operation, the high-tech treatment area will contribute to applying scientific and technological advances to medical examination and treatment, improving the quality of health care for people, and reducing pressure on upper-level hospitals.
According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Van Khoa - Deputy Director in charge of Quang Nam General Hospital - this is not only the aspiration of the hospital's staff but also a big expectation of people in the southern area of Da Nang City, where the demand for accessing high-quality medical services is increasing.
The hospital is committed to putting the project into use immediately this week after completing acceptance, and at the same time ensuring full compliance with professional principles to better meet the health care needs of the people" - Mr. Khoa said.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi - Vice Chairwoman of Da Nang City People's Committee - emphasized that Quang Nam General Hospital is positioned as one of the core medical examination and treatment facilities, playing a role in sharing pressure with the city's final-line hospitals.

According to Ms. Thi, investing in a high-tech treatment area is not simply completing one more construction item, but also has strategic significance in the roadmap for hospital modernization. The project will create a foundation for deploying specialized techniques, expanding the scale of hospital beds, improving treatment quality and increasing access to high-quality medical services for people in the southern area of Da Nang City and surrounding areas.
Leaders of Da Nang City People's Committee also requested the hospital to urgently receive and organize the operation of the project in a scientific and effective manner; proactively arrange appropriate human resources and equipment; build a methodical management, exploitation and maintenance process to maximize investment efficiency.
After many years of "exposing to the sun", the nearly 180 billion VND project has now been handed over and put into use, not only quenching the thirst for medical infrastructure for the southern area of Da Nang City, but also opening up new expectations for the quality of medical examination and treatment for people.
