On April 14, Da Nang City People's Committee announced that the whole city will simultaneously organize the Launching Ceremony and General Launching of the "Month of Action for Food Safety" in 2026 (from April 15 to May 15).

With the message "Joining hands to ensure food safety in food services and street food", the program contributes to reducing the risk of food poisoning and foodborne diseases, ensuring social security and urban aesthetics.
The plan aims to strengthen the effectiveness and efficiency of state management of street food business activities, raise awareness and responsibility of grassroots authorities, businesses and consumers.
Along with that, strictly control the number of establishments and conditions to ensure food safety for street food business activities and mobile catering services, contributing to minimizing the risk of food poisoning and foodborne diseases, ensuring social security and urban aesthetics.
The activities are implemented towards the goal of 100% of communes, wards, and special zones building and implementing street food management plans; 100% of street food business establishments and mobile catering services are statistically and managed.
According to the plan, the city focuses on enhancing the leadership and direction role, and at the same time consolidating the food safety management system for street food at commune, ward, and special zone levels. People's Committees of communes, wards, and special zones are fully responsible, periodically organize assessments, draw lessons learned, and develop plans for the following year.
Regarding inspection and supervision work, the People's Committees of communes and wards establish inter-sectoral inspection teams, develop periodic and unscheduled inspection plans.
The inspection content focuses on business location conditions, equipment, water sources, raw materials, food preservation and the health of the person directly processing. Violations will be strictly handled, information will be made public; resolutely suspend operations for establishments at high risk of causing food insecurity.
In addition, based on the actual situation, the People's Committees of communes, wards, and special zones proactively arrange and create conditions for street food businesses to have fixed business locations, both ensuring environmental sanitation, traffic safety, urban aesthetics, and facilitating management and inspection work.
