At the hospital, doctors from the Department of Men's Dermatology diagnosed the patient with scabies and irritated contact dermatitis.

However, due to not coming for examination and treatment properly, the patient arbitrarily used some folk remedies, causing serious damage to the skin. Specifically, applying 3 mineral ant ointment to a wide area of skin has led to skin become necrosous, red, swollen, burning, and even bleeding in the genitals and buttocks.
"This is a serious consequence of improper treatment, which can cause dangerous complications such as liver failure, kidney failure, electrolyte disorders, and even threaten the patient's life," said the doctor.
According to Dr. Giang, in addition to this case, the hospital's Department of Dermatology and Men's Treatment also regularly receives other patients who are experiencing similar conditions, due to the arbitrary use of treatments that are not scientifically proven. These actions not only do not help patients recover from the disease but can also make the skin condition worse.
