Improving the quality of medical examination and treatment
At Chi Lang commune health station (Bac Ninh province), after arrangement and merger, the unit has 4 doctors and 18 medical assistants, nurses, pharmacists and population officers. The addition and consolidation of personnel helps the station have conditions to organize medical examination and treatment more conveniently, reducing waiting time for people.
Mr. Phan Van Nguyen, a resident of Chi Lang commune, said that coming for examination at the station is now more convenient than before. "When coming for examination, the doctor welcomes me very thoughtfully," Mr. Nguyen shared.
According to local people, previously the team of doctors and medical staff at the station was still limited, so at times medical examination and treatment had to wait. After reorganization, personnel from units were arranged at the station, the number of doctors and medical staff increased, thereby better meeting the needs of medical examination and treatment at the facility.
Representatives of Chi Lang commune health station said that in the coming time, the unit plans to create conditions for medical staff, doctors, and nurses to participate in short-term training courses from 3-6 months, supplementing professional certificates in some specialties, thereby improving the capacity to examine and treat people right in the locality.
The station will also advise local authorities to invest in more equipment, including testing systems, and gradually expand the ability to provide medical services at the grassroots level.
At some units such as Kinh Bac ward health station, along with consolidating the organization, it also focuses on applying information technology in professional activities. The completed technology infrastructure not only contributes to shortening medical examination and treatment procedures but also supports management and monitoring of people's health.
Representatives of the Kinh Bac ward health station said that the unit is developing a plan to screen for non-communicable diseases to each neighborhood.
In the future, we will make electronic health check-up records for patients," said a representative of Kinh Bac ward health station.
Continue to adjust personnel between stations
According to the Bac Ninh Provincial Department of Health, after implementing the policy of arranging and reorganizing the grassroots health system, Bac Ninh province has 99 health stations with 146 station points, ensuring that the grassroots health network continues to cover all residential areas.
The total number of personnel at health stations is 3,103 officials.
After the merger, the health stations quickly stabilized operations, ensuring the continuous maintenance of essential medical services. Medical examination and treatment, preventive medicine and national target programs were implemented synchronously, without interruption in serving people.
However, according to the Bac Ninh Provincial Department of Health, besides the achieved results, the operation of post-merger health stations still faces some difficulties. Facilities at some stations are still limited; the arrangement and arrangement of personnel between stations needs to continue to be adjusted to suit actual requirements.
These are issues raised in the process of perfecting the grassroots health organization model in the coming time," said the Bac Ninh Provincial Department of Health.
