On the morning of August 18, Mr. Ly Minh Thai - Director of the Department of Health of Gia Lai province - said that doctors and nurses are trying their best to enthusiastically cure and treat patients after the bus accident.
Accordingly, among the 18 patients admitted to the hospital for health check-ups, 6 injured patients required treatment, X-rays for monitoring, and assessment.
“The Department of Health directed the Chu Se District Medical Center and Provincial General Hospital to maximize medical staff and medical equipment to treat victims. Currently, the patient's health situation is still being monitored," Mr. Ly Minh Thai said.
At Gia Lai Provincial General Hospital, the victims of the bus accident were still shocked and scared. Mr. Nguyen Van Hau (born 1988, residing in Yen Dinh district, Thanh Hoa province) had a broken right shoulder collarbone, his head was injured and required 4 stitches.
“The doctor told me to wait for monitoring to know the consequences of the head wound, the possibility of damage and treatment options. The accident happened too quickly. When I woke up, I was taken to the hospital," Mr. Hau said.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hien (residing in Ia Chia commune, Ia Grai district, Gia Lai province) and her husband and small child were passengers in the car: "My husband was injured in the hip, bleeding a lot, requiring 4 stitches. As for the child carried by her husband, her face and arm were injured, and I was injured in my leg," Ms. Hien confided.
According to Chu Puh District People's Committee, the unit and Gia Lai Provincial Police supported the victims' families to go to the emergency room and urgently investigated and clarified the accident.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that at about 1:45 p.m. on August 17, a passenger car with license plate number 47B - 019.05 was circulating on Highway 14, towards Gia Lai - Dak Lak. When arriving at Tao Ko village, Ia Rong, Chu Puh district, there was a collision with a motorbike moving into the lane of National Highway 14. After that, the passenger car overturned next to the edge of National Highway 14.
The accident injured 18 people and had to be hospitalized, many of whom were found to have broken arms and legs... Particularly the motorcyclist suffered serious injuries.
Currently, the cause of the accident is being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
