On May 23, the Central Highlands General Hospital informed that the unit had just successfully operated on patient Y.T.K (male, born in 1967, residing in Cu Kuin District) with a "giant" tumor on his head.
Previously, on May 17, the patient was admitted to the Central Highlands General Hospital with symptoms of severe headaches and a tumor in the right frontal forehead of the equator from a small age. In the past month or so, the patient's tumor grew very quickly and caused itching.
After more than 1 hour of surgery, the entire tumor measuring about 15x10cm was removed and analyzed. After 1 day of surgery, the patient was alert, painless, able to walk, and eat well.
A representative of the Central Highlands General Hospital said that this was the largest head tumor ever recorded at the unit. A head tumor that is too large will compress the nerves, which can cause pain.
In addition, a tumor appearing in the head will make the patient confused and worried that it can seriously affect their health. Patients with head tumors should see a doctor early for examination, screening and early treatment.
