At Can Tho City Oncology Hospital, on the afternoon of December 31, a series of events took place: inauguration of the on-demand examination area, inauguration of Phong Dien Oncology Hospital facility III, launch of the CT - Ultrasound - Endoscopy system and receipt of car sponsorship.

Dr. Vo Van Kha - Director of Can Tho City Oncology Hospital said that the hospital is very honored to organize a series of events to meet the healthcare needs of patients in Can Tho and the Mekong Delta region.

In particular, the Hospital is interested in investing in Can Tho City, completing procedures to purchase 2 radiation therapy systems. In that spirit, at the beginning of February 2026, 1 machine will be brought into operation, and at the beginning of March, another machine will be brought in. 2 systems will operate synchronously from basic technology to specialized, especially high technology" - Mr. Kha informed.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Quoc Cuong - Director of Can Tho Department of Health informed that under the drastic direction of the Prime Minister, Can Tho City has completed the task of purchasing 2 radiation therapy machines for Can Tho City Oncology Hospital.

Along with that, procedures for restarting the 500-bed hospital have been completed and it is hoped that the Project will be inaugurated in 2026. With a new facility with 4 more modern radiation therapy systems, increasing the number of radiation therapy systems to 6, becoming the most modern hospital in the Mekong Delta.
