The guy brought his girlfriend's doll on a date during Tet, causing a stir

A Korean man who dated a life-sized doll on Lunar New Year has attracted the attention of netizens.

According to Nate, this strange couple was discovered at an amusement park in Gyeongju during this year's Lunar New Year holiday.

The man posted photos of his date with the doll in an online review of his trip to Gyeongju World, revealing the doll's name to be "Rem."

"I had a great date at Gyeongju World with Rem! I couldn't go on all the rides because it was winter, but I had fun taking her on rides like the Kraken (a misspelling of the Draken roller coaster), Magic Bike, Air Balloon, and Bumper Cars… It was great!", the man wrote.

"I hope everyone is with their loved ones, dolls and lovers. I will visit again when the weather is warmer," the man added.

In the photo, the doll has short blue hair, is dressed like a real person and is sitting on a swing.

However, according to some people who saw the couple in public, it was difficult to distinguish the doll from a real person.

Netizens left comments: "When I saw the doll wearing a short skirt sitting in a wheelchair, I thought 'Oh, she must be cold'", "At that time, I mistook the doll for a real girl"...

Although life-sized dolls are not yet common in Korea, they seem to have grown in popularity in recent years. It was not until 2022 that the Korean Customs Service began allowing the import of these dolls.
