On December 2, the Economic Police Department, Da Nang City Police said that it had coordinated with professional units and police from related localities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Can Tho, Nghe An, and Ba Ria - Vung Tau to conduct searches at the headquarters where GFDI Investment Consulting Company Limited (GFDI Company) has branches to collect information and documents related to the illegal capital mobilization and activities of the enterprise. Through the search, the authorities seized many important papers and documents to serve the investigation and clarify the case.
Previously, on November 18, the Investigation Police Agency of Da Nang City Police initiated a case and prosecuted Nguyen Quang Hoang - General Director of GFDI Investment Consulting Company Limited, Nguyen Do Dat - Finance Director, Tran Thi My Hanh - Head of Treasury Department, To Hong Tra and Tran Thi Kieu Trang - Director and Deputy Director of the Transaction Office Branch for the crime of Fraudulent appropriation of property.
Investigation results show that from May 2018 to present, GFDI Company has mobilized capital by signing loan contracts with customers in Da Nang and many other localities.
