The Investigation Police Agency, Hanoi City Police said that through the work of grasping the situation in the area, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department discovered Hoang Kim karaoke business establishment in Ngu Hiep commune (old Thanh Tri district) operating illegal drug trafficking, organization and content.
The owner of the facility is Dang Thi Hong Linh (born in 1990, residing in Van Phuc commune, the old Thanh Tri district) who operates with a sophisticated trick: changing the karaoke bar sign into Hoang Kim beer bar. During the day, Linh opens a beer shop; In the evening, she closes the outside door but still runs karaoke inside to serve customers who "fly" drugs. In addition, Linh also rented a house next to a motel business, creating conditions for guests to move between two places to avoid inspection by the authorities.
At about 3:30 a.m. on June 8, 2025, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department coordinated with professional units to simultaneously inspect Hoang Kim karaoke bar and the adjacent motel.
At the time of inspection, there were 41 people (26 employees, 15 guests), of which 33 people (18 employees, 15 guests) tested positive for drugs. The seized exhibits include: 82.220 grams of ketamine; 251.865 grams of methamphetamine; 4.614 grams of MDMA; 2 electronic scales and many drug use tools, sound system, lighting and related documents.
Based on the collected documents, the Investigation Police Agency has prosecuted 31 subjects for the following acts: buying, selling, organizing the use, illegally storing drugs and concealing crimes. In which, Dang Thi Hong Linh and 6 employees were prosecuted for illegal drug trafficking and organization; 24 guests were prosecuted for organizing illegal drug use and storage and concealing crimes.
The Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, Hanoi City Police are continuing to investigate and handle the subjects according to the law.
