On the morning of August 6, Mr. Nguyen Van Minh - Chairman of Nam Nha Trang Ward People's Committee said that the authorities are actively coordinating to search for a young man who went missing while climbing Hoang Nguu Son mountain since the evening of August 4.
Previously, on August 4, a young man named C. parked his motorbike at 79C Do Xuan Hop Street (Nam Nha Trang Ward) and climbed Hoang Nguu Son Mountain - a mountain nearly 1,000m high in the Dong Bo battlefield, considered the "top of the coastal city".
However, from 6pm the same day, C. suddenly lost contact and could not be seen going down the mountain. Although the phone was ringing, no one picked up the phone.
On August 5, some climbers organized a search but could not find C.
By the evening of August 5, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police, security forces at the grassroots level, and some mountain climbing experts coordinated with the family to continue the search until 24 hours but there were no results.
"After that, a relative and two climbers stayed up all night on the mountain to continue the search.
This morning, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police will continue to coordinate with the ward police and local security to search for this young man," Mr. Minh informed.
Hoang Ngu Son Mountain is 972m high, with steep terrain, many valleys and trees with thick forest and tall mountain grass that obscures the view, posing many potential dangers to those who lack experience in mountain climbing and exploring.
