The Investigation Police Agency of Dien Ban Town has issued a decision to urgently search and temporarily detain Lai Quang Vinh (born in 1987, residing in Nam Ha village, Dien Trung commune, Dien Ban) and Tran Kim Tri (born in 1995, residing in Phu Van village, Dien Quang commune, Dien Ban); confiscated evidence including 2 mai trees, 1 Exciter motorbike, identified as the means used to commit the crime.

Previously, Dien Trung Commune Police, Dien Ban Town received a report that a 1.7 meter tall, 1 meter wide, 20 cm trunk circumference, and worth about 10 million VND planted in the Huynh family's church yard had been stolen by thieves.
Through zoning in on the suspects and quickly investigating, Dien Ban Town Police coordinated with Dien Trung Commune Police and Dien Quang Commune Police to screen and put Lai Quang Vinh and Tran Kim Tri on the suspect list and invited them to come in for questioning.
With the collected evidence, Tri and Vinh confessed to stealing the apricot tree at the Huynh family church and also stealing another apricot tree in Duy Xuyen district (Quang Nam) to sell for money.
