On June 2, the leader of the Office of the Investigation Police Agency (IPA) of Quang Nam Provincial Police said that the unit had just successfully mobilized a particularly dangerous wanted wanted subject Pham Thi Ngoc Nha (born in 1987, residing in Tan Thanh Ward, Tam Ky City) to surrender.
Pham Thi Ngoc Nha is wanted under Decision No. 01/QDTN dated January 14, 2020 of the Provincial Police Department on the act of "Abusing trust to appropriate property", stipulated in Article 175 of the Penal Code.
According to the investigation results, in 2019, taking advantage of their acquaintances, Nha borrowed a total of VND4.6 billion from 3 victims in Tam Ky City, then appropriated and fled the locality.
Determining that this was a serious case, involving many victims and a large sum of money, the Investigation Police Agency of the Provincial Police established a special arrest warrant. In addition to applying professional measures, the police force regularly coordinates with the family to persuade the subject to surrender.
On May 30, 2025, through the mobilization of relatives, Pham Thi Ngoc Nha proactively contacted the police to surrender, ending nearly 5 years of hiding.
The case is being further investigated and clarified by the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Nam Province according to the law.
