The investment project to build the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway line has a recovered land area in Kien Minh commune of 923,395.5 m2, including 805,373.1 m2 of agricultural land and 118,022.4 m2 of non-agricultural land. The whole commune has 1,779 households, individuals and organizations with land under project recovery in Phong Cau, Duc Phong, Sam Linh villages.
Implementing site clearance work to serve the project, on August 22, the Kien Minh Commune Site Clearance Council organized the payment of compensation and support money in the first phase for 10 households and individuals in Phong Cau village.
At the payment session, the Commune Land Clearance Compensation Council publicly announced land acquisition decisions, compensation and support plans, and made payments to the right beneficiaries, in the right area, and in accordance with regulations and policies. The total amount paid is nearly 2.5 billion VND.
Along with ensuring publicity and transparency in the implementation of compensation and support policies, the locality continues to propagate, mobilize, and create consensus among the people, contributing to accelerating the progress of site clearance and early handover of land to serve the implementation of key projects.
