From the night of August 21 to August 22, prolonged heavy rain caused many areas in Lang Son to be flooded, and some places are at risk of landslides.
The Provincial Military Command requested subordinate units and the Military Command of communes and wards to mobilize local forces, coordinate to guard deep flooded points, warn dangerous areas and evacuate people.
Colonel Mai Xuan Phong, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, Deputy Head of the Provincial Civil Defense Command of Lang Son, directly directed the rescue work in some flooded areas.

At Gieng Vuong market, Ky Lua ward, rising water affects business operations and assets of many small traders.
The Provincial Military Command mobilized 50% of the agency's troops, coordinated with forces of Battalion 1, Regiment 123, using trucks and motorboats to bring people and goods out of the flooded area.
A total of nearly 1,000 officers, soldiers and militia and self-defense forces were mobilized to respond to natural disasters.

Units maintain duty according to the "four on-the-spot" motto, including commanders, forces, vehicles, supplies and logistics on-the-spot; prepare equipment to mobilize to high-risk areas.

Heavy rain is forecast to continue to be complicated. The provincial armed forces continue to monitor the situation, maintain a permanent force and be ready to mobilize people and vehicles when flooding and landslides occur.
