On March 5, at An Hung Cultural House, Hong An Ward People's Committee organized the payment of compensation and site clearance support for households affected by the Nomura - Hai Phong Industrial Park Infrastructure Construction and Business Investment Project (phase 2).
Accordingly, the Ward People's Committee has approved the 11th phase of compensation and support plan for 107 households, individuals and 1 organization whose land was recovered to implement the project with a total amount of nearly 87 billion VND.
At the payment ceremony, representatives of local authorities and functional agencies carried out public and transparent payment procedures in accordance with the law. The 11th payment is to ensure the legitimate rights and interests of organizations, households, and individuals whose land is recovered according to current regimes and policies; ensure the handover of clean land for project implementation. At the same time, raise awareness and responsibility of organizations, households, and individuals in complying with the provisions of the law on land, compensation, support, and resettlement when the state recovers land.
The Nomura - Hai Phong Industrial Park infrastructure construction and business investment project (phase 2) has an area of 197.16 ha, with a total investment capital of up to 2,782.72 billion VND. Of which, the investor contributed 425 billion VND to equity. This is one of the largest investment projects in Hai Phong, playing an important role in attracting investment, developing industrial infrastructure, promoting economic development and creating jobs for local workers.
The majority of households present agreed with the compensation plan and actively coordinated with the local authorities. Ensuring the progress of site clearance not only contributes to completing the infrastructure of the industrial park but also promotes sustainable socio-economic development in Hong An ward in particular and Hai Phong city in general.
