According to records at 6:00 PM on March 5th, the gas station at No. 164 Quang Trung (Ha Dong) hung a sign announcing gasoline outage. This is a gas station belonging to INDEL Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (INDEL CORP).
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper on the evening of March 5, Mr. Dang Van Dung - General Director in charge of business of INDEL Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (INDEL CORP) - said that tensions in the Middle East have affected gasoline and oil supply, causing import activities to face many difficulties. This leads to domestic enterprises not being able to import goods from distribution units.
According to Mr. Dang Van Dung, the company has proactively increased reserves, but the shortage occurred earlier than expected. From February 28, the consumption of gasoline and oil began to increase sharply while the supply became increasingly difficult to access, leading to a shortage of goods. The business contacted many sources and distributors to find additional sources but was unsuccessful. In March 5 alone, the company contacted more than 10 suppliers but has not yet received a response.
Usually, the store consumes about 30 m3 of gasoline and oil per day, but on March 4 alone, the volume sold exceeded 50 m3. Therefore, by about 4:00 AM - 4:30 AM on March 5, the store had run out of gasoline, currently only oil left to sell.
We have sent official letters to the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade and the market management force to report on the situation, and at the same time propose support for supply connection. This is a common difficulty, when goods cannot be imported, there is also no gasoline and oil to sell to consumers. We hope customers will share" - Mr. Dung said.
Reporting to the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, INDEL CORP said that although the enterprise has stockpiled goods for 1 price exchange period, due to the scarcity of goods and the number of people flocking to buy too much, the company's stockpiled goods have been short.
INDEL CORP informed that the company has proactively made efforts to contact key traders and other distribution units, but has not been supplemented with output in time. The above situation directly affects the business operations of the enterprise, and at the same time poses a risk of disrupting the supply of gasoline and oil to serve people and organizations in the area.
INDEL CORP requests the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade to support connecting and coordinating supply from other key traders/distributers in the area. At the same time, there are guiding documents, creating conditions for the company to sign contracts to supplement goods sources in the near future. Consider having solutions to regulate supply sources to ensure the stability of the gasoline and oil market in the city. The company is committed to strictly implementing the provisions of law on gasoline and oil business, listing prices and selling goods in accordance with regulations; and will promptly report when the situation is resolved" - INDEL CORP proposed.
