On December 12, the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province Property Auction Service Center organized an auction of land use rights and assets attached to the land of a 17,787.6 m2 plot of land in Phu My Ward, Phu My Town. This is the first land plot that Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province will organize an auction in 2024.
The starting price of this land is over 108.13 billion VND and the auction will be conducted in at least 2 rounds (no maximum limit) by direct voting, with an upward bid of 2.162 billion VND. The person/unit participating in the auction must deposit in advance an amount of over 21.6 billion VND.
Through appraisal, there were 3 individuals eligible to participate in the auction, but only 2 individuals paid a deposit to participate in the auction: Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh Tuan (District 8, HCMC) and Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang Anh (District 3, HCMC).

In the first round of auction, two bids were valid with bid prices of VND 108,135,089,000 and VND 108,130,099,000 respectively. In the second round of auction, the bid prices were VND 110.299 billion and VND 110.32 billion respectively.
In the third round of the auction, both participants asked to stop the auction and paid the highest bid in the second round. As a result, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang Anh won the auction for the right to use the land, with a price of 110.32 billion VND.
Speaking to Lao Dong, Ms. Hoang Anh said that she will quickly complete the required procedures to implement the 250-bed general hospital project on the auctioned land. The project is expected to start construction in 6 months and be completed within 2 years to be put into operation.
"We appreciate the development potential of a general hospital in this area, and plan to invest more than VND600 billion to implement the project," said Ms. Hoang Anh.
Mr. Nguyen Thien Vu - Deputy Director of the Provincial Land Fund Development Center - said that the auction process took place openly and transparently, with the participation of many units and the arrangement of cameras to record images. This will help individuals and businesses feel more confident when investing in the province in the future.
In December 2024 and the first quarter of 2025, Ba Ria - Vung Tau will continue to organize auctions of large land plots in the area to ensure the target of budget collection through land auctions, and at the same time implement many large investment projects in the area.
