On August 19, the inauguration and launching ceremony of the Saigon Marina International Financial Center (Saigon Marina IFC) will take place at No. 2 Ton Duc Thang, Saigon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. This is one of 80 large-scale projects nationwide inaugurated and started construction to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), and at the same time marked the beginning of the roadmap to build an International Financial Center in Ho Chi Minh City.
Saigon Marina IFC is located in Ba Son area, a land that was once associated with the history of the Saigon port manufacturing and trading industry. This location is considered strategic, as it is located close to the Saigon River bank, adjacent to key trading axes such as Ton Duc Thang - Nguyen Hue Avenue and quickly connects to central administrative and business areas.
The highlight of the project is the ability to directly connect with Ba Son Station - Metro Line 1, applying the urban development model oriented towards public transport (TOD) to help reduce road pressure, shorten travel time and increase access for investors, businesses and international experts.
The project is 55 stories above ground, 5 basements, with a total floor area of over 106,000 m2 on a land area of over 6,000 m2, making it one of the tallest buildings in Ho Chi Minh City. Saigon Marina IFC is designed with multi-functional functions, including class A offices, shopping malls, hotels, conference spaces and high-end amenities, expected to serve about 10,000 regular employees.
In terms of architecture, the building uses a two-layered glass surface that helps reduce heat and save energy, about 30% of the area is for green space, including a hanging garden from the 35th to 43rd floors. The main hall is about 9 m high, with a system of 34 smart elevators and energy-saving solutions, helping the project achieve LEED Gold certification from the United States Green Building Council (USGBC).
In addition to the function, Saigon Marina IFC also possesses identifying details: LED system covering the entire facade, night-time art light display, fountain and water music at the campus. These factors contribute to shaping the image of a modern financial center right on the riverbank.
According to Resolution 222/2025/QH15 of the National Assembly, the formation of an International Financial Center is a long-term strategy. Saigon Marina IFC is identified as one of the starting items, providing high-quality premises and infrastructure conditions for international financial and business activities in Ho Chi Minh City.
