According to the document, according to the report of the Can Tho City Social Policy Bank Branch, from the beginning of 2025 to now, the whole city has only disbursed 33.909 billion VND for the social housing lending program. Of which, loans for construction or renovation and repair of houses for 1 customer, with an amount of 250 million VND; loans for purchasing or leasing social housing for 48 customers, with an amount of 33.659 billion VND.
In order to promptly implement to the right beneficiaries, ensuring the completion of the targets assigned in 2025, contributing to the completion of the 2025 social housing targets assigned by the Prime Minister, the Chairman of the City People's Committee requested the city's departments, branches, socio-political organizations and the People's Committees of districts and towns to organize the implementation to people with revolutionary contributions, relatives of martyrs to be supported to improve housing according to the Ordinance on preferential treatment for people with revolutionary contributions; all cadres, civil servants and public employees of agencies and units under the city's departments, branches and sectors; poor and near-poor households; low-income people in urban areas; workers and laborers... on the social housing lending program at the Social Policy Bank so that eligible subjects and those in need of loans can access this capital.
The Chairman of the City People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to publicly announce the list of social housing construction projects that meet the conditions according to regulations in the area so that people can access it. Preside over and coordinate with owners of social housing projects approved by the City People's Committee and relevant units to review and synthesize the demand for loans to buy and rent social housing in 2025.
The Chairman of the District People's Committee directs the Chairman of the Commune People's Committee to proactively coordinate with socio-political organizations, the Transaction Office of the District Social Policy Bank and related sectors to organize propaganda, review and synthesize the demand for social housing loans to build or renovate and repair houses in 2025; at the same time, organize a quick and timely lending review to meet the loan needs of beneficiaries.
