Hai Phong - On the morning of May 12, Do Son ward organized the payment of compensation funds for the project to demolish the 5-story old apartment building in alley 75 Ly Thanh Tong.

The Project Management Board for Construction Investment of Do Son Ward presides over and coordinates with the Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Department and Hai Phong Housing Management and Trading Co., Ltd. to organize the payment of compensation, support and handover of land to implement the Project of site clearance, demolition of old 5-story apartment buildings and construction of technical infrastructure for urban embellishment in alley 75 Ly Thanh Tong, Do Son Ward.

The project to clear ground, demolish the 5-story old apartment building and build technical infrastructure for urban embellishment in alley 75 Ly Thanh Tong is a project of particular importance, aimed at relocating households living in seriously degraded apartment buildings, which pose a risk of unsafety, especially during the rainy and storm season; and at the same time creating conditions for households to be arranged with new, safer and more stable accommodation. After completion, the project will contribute to completing technical infrastructure, improving the living environment and embellishing the urban appearance in the ward.

According to the approved plan, compensation and support are implemented for architectural structures, trees, and crops within an area of 413.1 m2 of the old 5-story apartment building, involving 1 organization and 38 households. In the process of organizing payment, the majority of households agreed to receive compensation and support funds and agreed to hand over the site, committing to relocate when the State arranges new accommodation according to regulations.

To ensure the safety of lives and property of households before the 2026 rainy and storm season and accelerate the project implementation progress, Do Son ward requests the remaining households and individuals to continue to coordinate, soon complete the necessary procedures, receive compensation and support funds and hand over the land according to regulations. The government continues to accompany, listen to and promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles of the people in the implementation process.
