Review and strictly handle violations of construction order
On July 10, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee sent a document to the Department of Construction, People's Committees of wards, communes and special zones in the area to resolve and thoroughly handle the situation of illegal and unauthorized construction in the area.
In particular, the Department of Construction was assigned to strengthen the handling of violations of construction order in wards and communes, propose measures to fundamentally and thoroughly resolve the situation of taking advantage of the situation of administrative unit arrangement to carry out violations of construction order.
Assign the Chairmen of the People's Committees of wards, communes and special zones to continue to organize propaganda and mobilize people to comply with regulations on construction order; promptly handle violations according to authority and legal regulations.
Previously, there was information reflecting the illegal construction situation in some communes and wards of Ho Chi Minh City. Although local authorities have conducted remediation, there are still some cases of intentional violations of construction order. If it exceeds the authority, report and propose to the Department of Construction and the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City for consideration and direction.

Also on July 10, the Specialized Inspectorate - Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction organized a working group (divided into 3 groups) to coordinate with local authorities to record the situation in Phuoc Thang ward. Through the survey, the team recorded many temporary houses and items under illegal construction on agricultural land. Some places show signs of illegal construction at night or on weekends; or there are cases where a record has been made before but construction is still being carried out despite the request to stop by the authorities.

According to the People's Committee of Phuoc Thang Ward, through inspection, more than 120 violating works were discovered, of which 112 cases occurred before July 1 (57 cases have been handled, 52 cases of land violations are being handled; 3 cases of construction violations); and 8 newly discovered cases. The locality has issued a notice requesting owners of violating works to provide legal documents and self-dismantle; in case of non-compliance, they will be forced to comply according to regulations. In the coming time, the locality will strengthen inspection, strict handling and deploy many solutions for prevention.
A representative of the Specialized Inspection Department - Department of Construction said that the unit will continue to closely coordinate with the locality to thoroughly handle violations in accordance with regulations. As well as recommending that competent authorities increase resources to support the ward in monitoring, enforcing and preventing violating works from the beginning.
