In recent days, Facebook has shared a video clip recording the scene of an excavator demolishing a project believed to be a cultural house in Minh Tan commune, Cam Khe district, Phu Tho province, surrounded by many people standing watching.
The video has attracted tens of thousands of views and many interactions. In particular, many people expressed regret that a project under construction near completion was demolished.
To verify the above information, on March 17, Lao Dong Newspaper reporters contacted Mr. Nguyen Hong Son - Chairman of Minh Tan Commune People's Committee.
Mr. Son confirmed that the image in the video on social media was recorded by people when the cultural house in Vong 1 area (Minh Tan commune) was being demolished a few days ago.

According to Mr. Son, the cultural house mentioned above is a project invested by the People's Committee of Minh Tan commune, with a total investment of about 600 million VND from the budget and people's contributions.
The reason for the demolition of the project while under construction is due to weak soil, causing a corner of the house to sink, affecting the structure of the project.
"After inspection, it was found that the construction contractor had built the cultural house according to the design, but because it was built on borrowed land and had weak geology, it sank. For this project, they (the contractors) have paid the money to do it first, there is no budget and the people have not contributed" - Mr. Son shared.
Regarding the remedial direction, Mr. Son said that the construction contractor has dismantled the entire project to rebuild it to ensure safety, accepting damage to maintain reputation (the contractor is Thanh Binh Consulting and Construction One Member Co., Ltd.).
"The simple matter is just like that, I hope people understand clearly, avoid sharing and spreading untrue content on social networks, affecting the local image, affecting security and order" - Mr. Son added.
