Investing more than 1,300 billion VND to build a new apartment complex
Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Le Quang Nam has just signed a decision approving the investment policy for a social housing project in the Hoa Minh apartment complex, invested by Sunrise Hanoi Investment Development Joint Stock Company.
The project is located on Tran Anh Tong Street (Thanh Khe Ward), with a land area of about 7,770 m2, a total construction floor area of over 81,000 m2, including 20 floors above ground and 2 basements, with 933 apartments. The project implementation period is 50 years from the date of land allocation and land lease.

Hoa Minh apartment complex, built from 2001-2002, consists of 8 3-storey blocks with 288 apartments, used to be a resettlement area for households in the area of clearance to serve urban beautification. After more than 20 years of use, the project has deteriorated the most in the city, with poor hygiene.
The People's Committee of Da Nang City has approved a plan to support households that have to relocate. People renting public housing here can choose to, or continue to rent social housing on public property in the area or neighboring districts; or buy social housing apartments from non-budget projects under implementation; receive temporary housing support, including temporary housing arrangement or support of 50% of rental costs while waiting for the newly completed apartment.
People live in fear, hoping to soon have a new place to live
Recorded at Hoa Minh apartment building, many items have seriously degraded: the ceiling is rotten, the cement patches are peeling and falling into the ground, the walls are patchy and leaky even on sunny days. The corridor area, narrow, damp stairs, and patchwork electricity and water systems pose a potential safety risk to hundreds of households.
Ms. Le Thi Hang - a resident of Thanh Khe ward, Da Nang city shared that for many years now, her family's life in the old apartment building has been very miserable, especially during the rainy season.
"The walls are peeling, moldy, and leaking everywhere, every rainy and windy season, I fear the house will collapse. We just hope to move to a new, safer place soon," said Ms. Hang.

The family of Mr. Le Van Long - a resident of Thanh Khe ward, Da Nang city is also in a similar situation. Mr. Long was very happy to hear that the city has a policy of investing in building a new Hoa Minh apartment complex. For nearly 20 years, 8 members of his family have lived in a seriously degraded apartment.
"When the new apartment is completed, I hope to return to live here because this area is convenient for my children to do business and study," Mr. Long shared.
