On May 21, in Rach Tram Bai Thom neighborhood, Phu Quoc special zone (An Giang province), the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province coordinated with the Phu Quoc Special Zone People's Committee to organize the enforcement of the decision to force the implementation of remedial measures for cases of serious violations of land and encroachment on special-use forest land.
To ensure that the coercion process takes place in accordance with legal regulations and is absolutely safe, An Giang Provincial Police have mobilized many professional forces to closely coordinate with Phu Quoc Special Zone Police to synchronously deploy plans to ensure security and order from early on and remotely.

The forces have proactively reviewed the area, firmly grasped the situation, strictly managed subjects showing signs of resistance, and at the same time strengthened propaganda and mobilized people to comply with the policies and decisions of functional agencies. Thanks to doing a good job of professional work, the entire coercion process took place seriously, in accordance with legal procedures, without allowing complicated situations of security and order to arise.
According to the enforcement decision, functional forces focused on thoroughly handling 8 violating households, recovering more than 39,400m2 of special-use forest land and land managed by the State. This entire area belongs to the management of Phu Quoc National Park and Phu Quoc Economic Zone Management Board but has been blatantly occupied by individuals, arbitrarily establishing illegal use rights and building many works such as houses, prefabricated stilt houses, temples, temporary huts, bathhouses, livestock barns, farming ponds, fences; and at the same time planting many types of crops, yellow acacia trees to legitimize the current state of land use.

Notably, in the case of Ms. B.T. K. T., she encroached on nearly 3.9ha of forest land to illegally build a series of works. In addition to being forced to restore the original state of the land, Ms. T. also had to return an illegal profit of nearly 300 million VND. In addition, 7 other households in the same area also had acts of dividing special-use forest land to build illegal houses, distorting the current state of forest land, seriously affecting the management and protection of forest resources in the locality.
The organization of this enforcement shows the strong determination of the local government in the work of restoring land management order and strictly protecting the area of special-use forest in Phu Quoc. At the same time, it continues to affirm the core role of the An Giang Provincial Police force in ensuring absolute security and safety for enforcement activities, contributing to maintaining the stability of the security and order situation.
