After receiving it, many real estate facilities are waiting for exploitation
After arranging the organizational structure and administrative units, Ca Mau province has a large number of headquarters and land and housing facilities. To avoid loss and waste of public assets, Ca Mau province has decided to transfer 309 redundant land and housing facilities to agencies, units and localities for management, exploitation, and handling according to regulations.
In which, the Provincial Land Fund Development Center is assigned to manage, exploit and handle 90 facilities; the remaining 219 facilities are transferred to the People's Committees of communes and wards to receive management and use.

According to the approved plan, 72 facilities continue to operate according to the current status, and the remaining 147 facilities are converted to meet the actual needs in the locality.
Bac Lieu Ward is a locality that receives a large number of redundant houses and land. Ward leaders said that the remaining usable headquarters have been arranged as workplaces for hamlets and affiliated units. For some facilities transferred by the Ministry of Finance with high value, the locality will initially manage and preserve assets, and then develop an exploitation plan, lease or auction according to regulations.

In addition, the province also transferred 18 house and land facilities transferred by the Ministry of Finance to the Provincial People's Committee for management to communes and wards for use. These are mainly old treasury, tax, and statistics headquarters in many localities.
For example, Nguyen Phich commune received the treasury land and the one-stop-shop department of the old U Minh district; Phan Ngoc Hien commune received houses, treasury land, taxes and statistics of the old Ngoc Hien district. Some other facilities are arranged for specialized agencies to use, such as the one-stop-shop department in the old Dam Doi district transferred to the People's Procuracy of Region 4.

In Ganh Hao commune, the entire old headquarters of Dong Hai district agencies have also been transferred to the local management. Commune leaders said they are developing a plan for exploitation and appropriate use. However, auctioning is currently facing difficulties because most of the houses and land facilities have not completed planning and converted land use purposes.
Functional conversion
Along with rearranging them as working headquarters, many redundant houses and land facilities in Ca Mau are oriented to convert functions to serve people's livelihoods and community activities.
In the field of education, the housing and land facilities of the Continuing Education and Career Guidance Center are proposed to be transferred to Kim Dong Primary School to expand the area, towards meeting national standards. The old headquarters of the Bac Lieu Provincial Industrial Park Project Management Board is also proposed to be transferred to Le Thi Rieng Primary School to serve teaching and learning needs.

Many old headquarters in the urban center area are also proposed to be renovated into cultural centers, hamlet headquarters or community activity points such as Ward 2, Ward 8 People's Committees, old Bac Lieu City Department of Home Affairs, old Bac Lieu City Red Cross Society or City Agricultural Technical Service Center.
The most notable is the conversion of two headquarters considered to have the most beautiful and valuable locations in the old Bac Lieu province into cultural works serving the community.

Accordingly, the old Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee headquarters is used as the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee History Museum; and the old Bac Lieu Provincial People's Committee headquarters is converted into the Rice Museum.
In addition to the two projects above, many other large headquarters have also been arranged with new functions. The old Bac Lieu Provincial People's Council headquarters is currently used as the Bac Lieu Ward Party Committee headquarters; the headquarters of the Department of Agriculture and Environment is arranged as the Bac Lieu Ward People's Committee headquarters.

Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee said that within 3 years of arranging administrative units, all redundant headquarters will be completely handled. Assets that no longer need to be used will be liquidated in accordance with regulations to avoid loss and waste of public assets.
